On August 4, 2007, the happiest day of my life, Heath and I tied the knot! What a wonderful day! We had family and friends from both coasts, even Heath’s dad came all the way from Afghanistan! Both Heath and I were so blessed to have the most beautiful wedding ever! We both put a lot of hard work into the day and the pay off was more than what was expected.

I never dreamed the level of stress that I would experience before the wedding. I cannot believe how stressed out I was, and thank goodness I had wonderful people to help me deal with it all. And lucky for me as soon as I walked down the aisle to “At Last” sung by my wonderful friend, Pam, and took Heath’s hand, all the worries dissolved. This was it, this was the man I am marrying and there is nothing in my way. Our wedding was beautiful; the sermon from Pastor Arle was perfect for us, describing both of our personalities to a tee. The whole ceremony to me seemed like only 5 minutes, but when I watched the video from the wedding it was more like 30. I guess I was so excited to be up there marrying the man of my dreams that I had no concept of time. I think I had a permanent smile from start to well even now! I am so happy and feel so lucky!

The wedding party took a limo from the church in St. Charles, to Hotter than Hot Forest Park for a few great photo opportunities, than to the Reception at the Beautiful Wild Flower. Once at the Wild Flower we were all greeted and had an amazing dinner, followed by wedding cake that Heath and I cut with a sword, and lots of dancing. I was even serenaded by Heath’s brothers to “You’ve lost that lovin feelin’! The sunflowers on all the tables at the wildflower were probably one of my favorite parts of the reception. I just loved looking around and seeing all of the wonderfully happy flowers amongst my happy guests. Other highlights of the reception were my first dance with Heath to “Come What May” from Moulin Rouge. Also, my dance with my dad to “The way you look tonight” by Frank Sinatra; we took dance lessons to learn to dance to the Fox Trot to this song, even though we botched up the dance a lot, we had soooo much fun dancing together! I also loved watching Heath dance with his mom to Three times a lady and the other brothers cutting in to dance with her. What great times!

We feel so lucky to be married to each other and were so very happy to have everyone their with us on our special special day! Thank you to all who traveled so far to see us, we love you!
