Grant made his big debut as a Major and a Pilot at Family Day of our last Guard Drill. Our current Commander dug up Grandpa B’s old Major gold oak leaf cluster for Grant. If Grandpa was there, he would’ve been very proud. He even tried his hand at being a pilot of a C-130.

After Family Day, we got a visit from Grammy on her way back home! The visit only lasted 2 hours, but it was a real treat for us.
After Grammy left, Grant unleashed on us!
Grant and I traveled to Georgia this past week to attend our Uncle Curt’s funeral. Uncle Curt had been developing a new type of watermelon; a type that had a thicker skin and was easier to pack. His wish was to have his ashes spread in this watermelon field where he worked.
After the long day and the hot Georgia heat, we all needed to cool off. It was so nice to just relax in the pool with family that I haven’t seen in awhile.

Here is Grant with his Great-Grandma after his 4-diaper change and 1-outfit ruined diaper change.
Here we are in the Valdosta airport awaiting our flight home.
I really really wanted a picture by the plane to mark Grant’s first plane ride. In the rush to get the shot, I had the setting on the wrong setting. So, the picture is washed out. Oh well.
Grant did wonderful on the plane! He mainly slept, which was so awesome. He was a great little flier, which made me so happy.
Daddy put up a swing for him on our deck while we were gone. He just loves it. He is so happy to be home now!
